The long waited change in the name of
Rehabilitation institute & Hospital for the Disabled
(RIHD) has been done by the Ministry of Health and
Family Weilfare during the Interim Govt. period. The new
name is "National Institute of Traumatology and
Orthopaedic Rehabilitation" (NITOR). It is very
true that a new name may not be liked by all. But it is
our moral duty now to familiarize this name. Hopefully
we shall be getting referral patients in the name of
NITOR.
